The Ganapathi Homam should be performed early in the morning, before sunrise and the Purnahuti (the last offering) should be performed at sunrise. The puja starts with asking permission from the Gods to perform the rituals. This is followed by Vigneshwara puja, Pranayama and Sankalpam. The offerings are the poured into the Havan Kund with the invocation of the God. Ganapathi Mantras are chanted by the priest in front of the Kund. After the Purnahuti, the concluding the ritual takes place.
